Tourism Revenue Grew in 2018
Tourism revenue for James City County reached $442 million in 2018, a 2.3% increase over 2017. Local tourism-related taxes were $19.1 million, a 7.1% increase over 2017. All data was received by the Virginia Tourism Corporation from U.S. Travel Association and is based on domestic visitor spending (travelers from within the United States) from trips taken 50 miles or more away from home.
