James City County is launching the update of its Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2015, Toward 2035: Leading the Way, and invites community leaders to apply to be part of the Community Participation Team (CPT). The CPT plays an important role in providing opportunities for all members of the community to be engaged in updating the plan. The CPT is in charge of encouraging, facilitating and reporting citizen participation throughout the Comprehensive Plan update process. Over the past few months, names of potential applicants have been provided to us from various community members which is why you are receiving this email. We invite you to consider applying online at the County Comprehensive Plan website. The deadline to apply is June 18. If you know of others who might be interested in helping us reach a broad cross-section of the community for this effort, please feel free to provide this information to them. If you have already submitted an application, we appreciate your interest and will follow up with you at a later date.
