Williamsburg Landing Begins Expansion Project

James City County is pleased to announce that Williamsburg Landing has kicked off the first of three phases of its expansion project with a ribbon cutting for its new Memory Support Home for 24 Williamsburg Landing residents. The expansion project will continue with the opening of a licensed Adult Day Center opening in early 2018. Continue reading


Alewerks Brewing Company Named "Best Brewery" in Hampton Roads

James City County is pleased to announce that Alewerks Brewing Company was named “Best Brewery” in Hampton Roads by Veer Magazine. Alewerks has a primary location in York County, but in 2017 opened a second taproom in James City County at the Williamsburg Premium Outlets. Continue reading

i-64 Widening

I-64 Widening Updates

On Dec. 1, the first segment of the I-64 Widening Project was completed on time and under budget. Segment II which enters James City County is still under construction and a contract for Segment III has been awarded.
