757 COVID-19 Business Leader Survey

The Greater Williamsburg Business Council and Greater Williamsburg Partnership in collaboration with Hampton Roads leading business organizations encourages you to take the 757 COVID-19 Business Leader Survey.

The goal of the survey is to ascertain the impact of COVID-19 on our businesses; needs of the business community as it relates to the CARES Act; provide feedback to state and national leaders; and shape ways our regional organizations can assist. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and will be open through Friday, April 10. Thank you in advance for participating!

Payroll Protection Program - Now Open

The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on the payroll. The Small Business Administration (SBA) will forgive loans if all employees are kept on the payroll for eight weeks and the money is used for payroll, rent, mortgage interest or utilities. The Paycheck Protection Program will be available through June 30, 2020. PPP loans will be processed by banks and credit unions and guaranteed by the SBA. The Hampton Road Small Business Development Center recommends approaching the bank where you do business.

Scam Alerts

Please protect your business from scams. Scammers are taking advantage of fears surrounding COVID-19. Be familiar with the tactics scammers use and report any scammers that contact you. The Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center has advised that only banks are authorized to process applications for the Paycheck Protection Program. No outside parties can process these, this is a scam.
