Good Morning. Building Safety & Permits has 48 inspections requested for today, March 23, 2020.
**Due to the Covid-19 virus, we are asking that any non-essential inspections be rescheduled two weeks from March 16. We also ask that our Inspectors be allowed to perform their inspections while maintaining a 6-foot distance from other personnel.**

Board of Supervisors Update
Due to COVID-19, and in order to help applicants complete as many transactions as possible remotely, the JCC Board of Supervisors has waived all credit card and e-check convenience charges through June 30, 2020.
Stormwater and Resource Protection Division

Energy Inspection ReportsBuilding Safety & Permits has received several Duct Blaster reports that fail to meet the minimum standard for duct leakage. The 2015 Virginia Residential Code section N1103.3.4 for Rough-in tests states that the total leakage shall be less than or equal to 4 cubic feet per minute per 100 q. ft. of conditioned floor area where the air handler is installed at the time of the test. Where the air handler is not installed at the time of the test, the total leakage shall be less than or equal to 3 cubic feet per minute.
Post Construction tests total leakage shall be less than or equal to 4 cubic feet per minute per 100 square feet of conditioned floor area.
