The basketball courts at Mid County Park will close for surface repairs beginning Monday, Oct. 3. The project may take up to one week to complete; however, the start date and duration of the project may be impacted by weather. During the closure, patrons wishing to play basketball players are encouraged to use the courts at the Warhill Sports Complex, Chickahominy Riverfront Park, Ironbound Park, Upper County Park, Abram Fink Jr. Community Center or the James City County Recreation Center—these parks and facilities operating hours vary so visit jamescitycountyva.gov/recreation for operating schedules.
Mid County Park is also home to Kidsburg, which will remain open during the project. The pickleball and tennis courts, volleyball courts, shelters, meeting room and the multiuse trail are also open, but visitors should be attentive to machinery and workers in the area.
