[ARCHIVED] Chickahominy Riverfront Park to host REV3 Triathlon

REV3 Triathalon

The REV3 Triathlon returns to James City County on July 9 and 10. Chickahominy Riverfront Park patrons and motorists along Route 5 near the park should expect temporary pier and boat ramp closures and road delays.

Route 5 Delays
The bicycle and running legs of the triathlon will start at CRP and cross the Judith Stewart Dresser Bridge into Charles City County. The Virginia Capital Trail will also be used for the run portion of the triathlon, but will not impact motorists.

County Police will direct traffic in front of CRP during the race to help prevent delays. Bicyclists will travel on the roadway throughout the morning, so drivers should use caution. Thanks to the support of the Hofmeyer Family, additional parking will be available for spectators and athletes across from CRP on Route 5 at Barretts Ferry Landing.

CRP Fishing Pier and Boat Ramp Closures
Saturday, July 9 - Fishing pier closed 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 10 - Fishing pier and boat ramp closed 5-10 a.m.
