[ARCHIVED] Housing Office Offers Pre-Purchase Homebuyers Workshop and Holiday Budgeting Class

James City County’s Housing Office is offering two workshops this fall for future homebuyers and those budgeting for the holidays: 

Pre-Purchase Workshop

Part 1- Oct. 26, 6-9 p.m.
Part 2- Oct. 27, 6-8:30 p.m.

Both sessions will be held at the Human Services Center, 5249 Olde Towne Rd. Participants must attend both sessions to earn the certificate. Please register by Oct. 26 at 4 p.m.

Holiday Budgeting Class

Nov. 9, 11 a.m.-noon and 6-7 p.m. 

Participants can attend either session virtually, and there is an in-person option for the 11 a.m. session, which will be held at Virginia Peninsula Community College, Room 110, 4601 Opportunity Way. Please register by Nov. 9 at 4 p.m.

In this informative Budgeting and Safety workshop, learn essential skills to manage your finances effectively and ensure the safety of your home environment. This comprehensive workshop covers budget planning, expense tracking and smart financial decision-making. Additionally, it provides insights on safeguarding your home, from fire safety to emergency preparedness, empowering you to create a secure and financially stable living space.
