[ARCHIVED] Police Apply for FY23 Justice Assistance Grant

JCCPD is releasing news

James City County Police Department is seeking funding for enhancing law enforcement programs through the FY23 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program: Local Solicitation in the amount of $12,236. The Police Department plans to use the funds to expand its BolaWrap initiative, enhancing civilian and officer safety and promoting de-escalation in critical situations. As part of this recently created initiative, the Department aims to purchase eight (8) BolaWrap devices and ensure officers are adequately trained in their proper use prior to deployment.
