Two Unidentified Credit Card Theft Suspects at Large

JCCPD announces a crime has occurred

On March 17, 2023, two unidentified suspects stole credit cards from a parked vehicle at Veterans Park in James City County. The suspects then attempted to make thousands of dollars of unauthorized purchases at a Target store located at 4630 Monticello Ave. Video surveillance captured the two men during the commission of the fraudulent purchases, and a still image is shown below.

The younger suspect was seen wearing a navy blue/black Champion sweatshirt, light gray sweatpants, a black Adidas ball cap and black sneakers. The older suspect appeared to be wearing a black Adidas jacket, dark gray pants, black shoes and a black "Paper Boy" hat. Both suspects remain at large, and anyone with information is urged to contact Investigator Sten at 757-603-6044 or leslie.sten@jamescitycountyva.gov.

Those with information may call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit tips online at p3tips.com. Callers to the Crime Line and P3 Tips users may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.

Police remind the public to keep their vehicles locked and valuables out of sight. This incident is a reminder always to be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
