At its Feb. 11 meeting, the James City County Economic Development Authority (EDA) approved a Resolution of Appreciation for out-going Chairman Marshall Warner. Warner served as Chairman of the EDA from Jan. 1, 2014 through Dec. 31, 2015. Of the many accomplishments during his tenure, the resolution highlighted Warner’s work in helping to establish the Greater Williamsburg Partnership and the continued growth of the region’s business incubator, Launchpad. Warner remains an active member of the EDA. In other action, the EDA appointed members to the following boards and committees for 2016:
- Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance Liaison – Steve Montgomery
- Planning Commission Liaison – Tim Harris
- Board of Supervisors Liaison – Paul Gerhardt
- Launchpad (Greater Williamsburg Incubator) Appointment – Tim Harris and Paul Gerhardt
- Greater Williamsburg Partnership Appointment – Tom Tingle
- Newport News/Williamsburg Airport Regional Air Service Enhancement Fun Advisory Committee Appointment – Tom Tingle
