James City County personal property and real estate tax bills have been mailed and are due Monday, June 6. Real estate tax invoices have been mailed to all real estate owners. If an escrow is established for a property, please check the monthly mortgage statement to ensure funds are in escrow.The Board of Supervisors are sensitive to rising costs and took two actions to provide tax relief:
*Please note that real estate property tax bills due on June 6 are based on Jan. 1, 2021 assessment and the $.0.84 tax rate. Bills due on Dec. 5 will use the Jan. 1, 2022 assessment and the $0.83 tax rate.
If you do not receive your tax bill by May 13, please call the Treasurer’s Office at 757-253-6705. Taxes are still due even if you did not receive the bill. How to pay your bill:
