Grab your leash and get to the park with your furry friend for Fido Fest on Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Jamestown Beach Event Park. The annual event features family and dog-friendly activities, games, contests, fabulous food and more! Merchandise ($) and community vendors ($) will also be present. Register onsite. Event parking is $5/car.
2022 highlights include:
●Photo Row – take “selfies” of your furry friend! We provide themed backgrounds/props - “the Enchanted Fur-est,” “Ulti-mutt Adventure” or “Dog-Gone Fishing.” Dog owners will be able to have their pet pose alone or join in the photo. NEW!
●"Fast & Furriest” - radar clocking! James City County Police officers will be onsite with radar guns, clocking how fast your dog can actually run in MPH! NEW!
●Best Trick Contest – show off your dog’s “best trick” at our mainstage contest. Prizes awarded for the “Dog-Gone Cutest” trick and the “Best Technical/Athletic” trick. The contest is sponsored by Nautical Dog and Colonial Veterinary Clinic. Onsite registration.
●Fido Fashion Show - let your dog (or dogs) strut their stuff at the Fido Fashion show. Prizes awarded for “Best Overall,“ Best Couple,” “Funniest” and “Most Creative” costumes/fashion. The Fido Fashion Show is sponsored by Goodrich & Watson Insurers, Inc. Onsite registration
Note:
°The Jamestown Beach Event Park’s Off-Leash dog area will be closed during Fido Fest to accommodate overflow parking.
°Leashed pets welcome! No retractable leashes. All dogs must remain leashed while in the park. Dogs must be current on vaccines.
Fido Fest is offered in partnership with the Heritage Humane Society and sponsored by Goodrich & Watson Insurers, Inc., The Nautical Dog, St. Francis Pet Resort & Rehabilitation Center and Colonial Veterinary Clinic.
