[ARCHIVED] Police Announce New & Exciting Changes to National Night Out

National Night Out Police Community Partnerships

On Oct. 5 between 4-8 p.m., James City County residents are invited to join us at the Law Enforcement Center at 4600 Opportunity Way to celebrate National Night Out. There will be displays from some of our specialty teams and units. We will be making Child ID’s for those that wish to obtain one, and McGruff, the crime fighting dog, will also be making a guest appearance. There will be a DJ, food trucks, snow cones, games, an obstacle course bounce house and more. JCCPD’s Monster Truck and Virginia State Police’s HEAT vehicle will also be on display.

National Night Out heightens crime and drug prevention awareness; generates support for local anti-crime efforts; strengthens community spirit and police-community partnerships; and sends a message to criminals that our community is organized and fighting back.

We look forward to seeing you all there!
