The James City County Office of Housing and Community Development will sponsor a free Virginia Housing Development Authority First-time Homebuyers Class.

Learn about the home buying process, from industry experts in personal finance, credit and credit scores, mortgage loan qualification, choosing the right home, having a home inspection and closing a mortgage loan. Anyone considering a home purchase will benefit from this class.

The two-part class will be held Tuesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 19 from 6-9 p.m. at the James City County Law Enforcement Center Community Room, 4600 Opportunity Way, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Participants who successfully complete both sessions will receive a VHDA certificate of completion and will be eligible to apply for all VHDA loan programs.
