In response, REC Connect is operating three consolidated REC Connect sites – Matoaka, Norge, and new, James River Elementary School. Laurel Lane is no longer available due to space. Offerings include full day and before and after care options. The programs operate Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. for grades K-5. High Bridge Trail State Park Bike Tour • Ages 12+; 16 & younger must be accompanied by adultFriday, Nov. 13, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.$45James City County Recreation CenterJoin us for a tour of High Bridge Trail, beginning in Farmville during the height of Virginia’s beautiful fall foliage! Trip fee includes a three hour trail cruiser rental from a local bike shop. Patrons are encouraged to explore as much or as little of the trail as they’d like in that timeframe. Round trip distance to High Bridge and back is just under 10 miles. Preregistration is required at least one week in advance of trip date. Trips are first-come, first-served. Fee also includes transportation to and from trip destination and all park admissions, amenities and excursion fees, unless otherwise noted. This is the final in a series of fall tours which highlight a unique activity, excursion or program specific to the featured park.
