[ARCHIVED] Police Investigate Residential Burglary

On Oct. 17 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., someone entered a secured residence in the 4900 block of Trailside in New Town and stole items from the residence. There were no signs of forced entry. The residence is a rental unit managed by a property management company, and service providers had recently been in the home to remove and install carpet.

If you saw anything suspicious, know who may have been involved or have home security video camera systems, including doorbell cameras, that may have captured suspicious person(s) or vehicle(s) during this time, please contact Investigator Swanson at 757-259-5165 or kathy.swanson@jamescitycountyva.gov. Tipsters may also call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit tips online at p3tips.com. Callers to the Crime Line and P3 Tips users may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.
