On Sept. 17 at approximately 12:19 p.m., officers were called to the Atlantic Union Bank located at 5125 John Tyler Highway to a robbery. The suspect is described as a tall, thin, black male wearing jeans, glasses and a ball cap. The suspect told the teller that he had a gun, but did not display one. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
There were no injuries.
Virginia State Police K9 and Newport News K9 assisted JCCPD with searching the area.
