The Community Participation Team (CPT) and its subcommittees will hold meetings on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 at 4 p.m. to continue their work on Engage 2045, the process to update the 2015 Comprehensive Plan entitled Toward 2035: Leading the Way. The CPT meeting will focus on preliminary results of the public engagement efforts and review of subcommittee assignments and work. Following the CPT meeting, the subcommittees will convene to discuss the preliminary results and to theme the open-ended responses to the goals questionnaire.
The meetings will be held electronically pursuant to the Continuity of Government Ordinance adopted by the Board of Supervisors on April 14, 2020 and readopted on Sept. 8, 2020. Meeting materials are available at jamescitycountyva.gov/3715. The meetings will be accessible through a Zoom audio meeting.

The Comprehensive Plan is the County’s master plan for guiding future growth. It is reviewed every five years and is used to evaluate development proposals and guide the decisions of County departments over the next 20 years. As the update process continues, the CPT will provide County citizens and business community with many opportunities to participate in the process, including public meetings, online questionnaires and events.
