On July 24, 2020, a victim reported to police details about incidents of sexual assault that occurred from 1996-1997. The investigation would reveal that Kimberly Suzanne Orange, a former Walsingham Academy staff member, engaged in an inappropriate relationship with the then 13-year-old victim who was a student at the school.
The alleged incidents took place in James City County, the City of Williamsburg and multiple other jurisdictions. The school was made aware of the relationship in 1996, and Orange resigned. A police report was filed, but no charges were brought forth at the request of the parents.
Kimberly Orange, now 50-years-old, was taken into custody today charged with 3 counts of carnal knowledge and 3 counts of indecent liberties by someone in a supervisory role. She was transported to Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, where she is being held without bond. Media should contact VPRJ for mugshot.
This case remains an open investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
