Don’t forget to register for the 35th Annual County-Wide Spring Cleanup on April 9 or 16. Pickup your own roadsides or common areas or contact us for a list of sites that need special attention. Register online at County-Wide Spring Cleanup or call 757-565-0032 for more information. Disposal fees for roadside and common area litter cleanups are “waived” by all REGISTERED groups or organizations. No food waste or hazardous materials accepted. All items must be delivered to Jolly Pond Transfer Station at 1204 Jolly Pond Road. The deadline for registrations is April 1, 2016.
Special thanks to WJCC Public Schools Director of Operations for agreeing to pilot a program at Berkeley Middle School incorporating 100 reusable lunch trays as a part of a strategy to deter some of the approximately 500 Styrofoam trays being sent to landfills each day.

Urging all citizens and businesses to show off your community pride during the month of April by picking up litter, cleaning up around your dumpster, planting some flowers, painting your front door or washing your sign.
