James City County invites community members to participate in the Exploring Our Future Alternatives Virtual Assembly beginning on Monday, Aug. 10 at 6:30 p.m. through Sept. 2. This Virtual Assembly is another opportunity during the Engage 2045 Comprehensive Plan update process for community members to shape the County’s future by sharing their vision and goals for James City County.

The Virtual Assembly will include a presentation on possible futures, scenario modeling results, public input themes and comprehensive plan goals, with online questionnaires available through Sept. 2. Citizens may request paper copies of the questionnaires or assistance with computer or internet access by contacting the Planning Division at 757-253-6685 or planning@jamescitycountyva.gov.

There are many ways to participate.

On Aug. 10 at 6:30:

• Watch the presentation and ask questions through Facebook Live Q&A on the James City County Government Facebook page
• Watch the Virtual Assembly on JCC TV (Cox Cable Channel 48/1048) or on the County YouTube channel and submit questions via email at planning@jamescitycounty.gov or the James City County public comment hotline at 757-253-6750.

Beginning after the Virtual Assembly on Aug. 10:

• View a recorded version of the presentation and complete the online questionnaires through Sept. 2 at jamescitycountyva.gov/3795/assembly.
