The Brass Tap has opened at 4904 Courthouse Street in New Town Williamsburg. The Brass Tap offers more than 150 craft beers from around the country and globe including 60 beers on tap including 35 taps designated for local, seasonal beers. Local products will include Alewerks Brewing Company, Billsburg Brewery, Brass Canon Brewing and the Virginia Beer Company. The Brass Tap offers a variety of made-to-order food including typical American fare and fusion cuisine.

The Brass Tap is locally-owned and operated by Franklin Herring, an Army veteran, and the opening of his new endeavor was first announced in Aug. 2018. The Brass Tap has indoor seating and an outdoor patio, both of which are open in compliance with COVID-19 safety guidelines from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

“I am excited to open The Brass Tap and offer a new neighborhood bar atmosphere that feels both relaxed and upscale,” said Herring. “Whether you want to catch up with friends, grab a cold, craft beer after work or watch sports when they return, we hope The Brass Tap becomes your new favorite spot.”

This is the first Virginia location of The Brass Tap. There are more than 40 Brass Tap locations in 16 states. The Brass Tap was founded in 2008 in Tampa, FL.
