[ARCHIVED] New Appointment to Economic Development Authority

The Economic Development Authority (EDA) of James City County is pleased to announce that the Board of Supervisors appointed Brandon Nice to the EDA. Nice will serve through May 2021.

Nice is the Vice President of Construction Operations for David Nice Builders, which has been located in the County for more than 45 years. Nice has extensive knowledge in small business and construction operations and he is passionate about small and local businesses. He is a resident of James City County.

The EDA is a seven-member volunteer board whose members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve staggered four-year terms. The Authority’s function is to pursue and comply with the goals and objectives set forth in the Comprehensive Plan; to advise the Board of Supervisors through the County Administrator of any application made by an agent or representative of a prospective facility requesting the Authority to issue bonds; and to advise the governing body of James City County of the potential location of the facility.
