[ARCHIVED] Community Participation Team Listening Forum Scheduled for May 4

The Community Participation Team (CPT) will hold a Listening Forum with local organizations on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 4 p.m. The meeting will be held electronically pursuant to a Continuity of Government Ordinance adopted by the Board of Supervisors on April 14, 2020.

The meeting will be accessible on public access cable channel TV48 or on the County’s YouTube channel. Meeting materials are available on the CPT Listening Forum web page.

Citizen comments may be submitted via US Mail to the Planning Commission Secretary, PO Box 8784, Williamsburg, VA  23187, via electronic mail to, or by leaving a message at 757-253-6750.

The Listening Forum is an opportunity for local organizations to provide input for the County’s Comprehensive Plan update. During the Listening Forum, organizations may present their mission, goals and challenges in relation to the future of James City County. The CPT has asked each organization to describe the greatest need or desired outcome that should be addressed in the Comprehensive Plan update. Each group participating will have up to 15 minutes to present information to the CPT.

Copies of the organizations’ presentations and meeting materials are available on the CPT Listening Forum web page. Although registration for the Listening Forum as passed, organizations may still provide input via the CPT Listening Forum web page or by email to the Planning Division at by May 4.
