Virtual Budget Community Meeting

DMV Select
While all County facilities are closed to the public, James City County DMV Select – Toano, will begin processing the following transactions via the U.S. mail service (3127 Forge Road, Toano, VA 23168) and through our “drop boxes” (these boxes are located at each entrance to the EOC building, 3127 Forge Road, Toano, Virginia):
- Vehicle Titles and Registrations
Original (with or without liens), substitute and replacement titles and title maintenance (to change information on title records, adding/removing of names). Original registrations, renewals (including fleets), transfers, re-issues, and plate surrenders. - License Plates
Specialized and personalized plate orders, including the issuance of motorcycle, permanent trailer, truck, taxicab and local government use plates. - Permits and Placards
Trip permits and overload permits. Original issue of handicapped parking placards. - Transcript Requests
Driver and vehicle transcripts (helpful for those who apply for job where a driver’s transcript is needed initially, submitted periodically or checked by their employer).
Only personal or cashier checks, and money orders will be accepted. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for processing.
Business Updates
The Save Small Business Fund has been established the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and is a collective effort to provide $5,000 grants nationwide to as many small employers located in economically vulnerable communities. Applications are now open. Businesses must employ between three and 20 people. Economically vulnerable communities are identified by zip code. Eligible zip codes located in James City County include 23185 and 23188; 23168 is not eligible. https://savesmallbusiness.com/
