COVID-19 Updates and Reminders
Beginning Monday, April 20, all James City County tennis courts and pickleball courts will reopen. The tennis courts are located at Jamestown High School, Warhill High School and Lafayette High School. At Veterans Park, only the eight pickleball courts will reopen, 7 a.m. to sunset daily. To ensure we can continue to offer these and more physical fitness and recreational opportunities, please follow social distancing guidelines - maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet and groups of more than 10 will be asked to separate.

Virtual Budget Community Meeting
We will host a Virtual Budget Community Meeting on April 23 at 12:30 p.m. Scott Stevens, County Administrator for James City County and Sharon Day, Director of Financial and Management Director, will provide a brief overview of the proposed budget. Following their presentation, we will open up for questions and comments.

Business Updates
Do you need a business mentor during the COVID-19 pandemic? Check out local SCORE Mentors, who are ready to assist business owners. Williamsburg SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow and succeed. These free, confidential, one-on-one mentor meetings can happen on the phone or through email. https://williamsburg.score.org/content/find-mentor-148

The Save Small Business Fund has been established the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and is a collective effort to provide $5,000 grants nationwide to as many small employers located in economically vulnerable communities. Applications open on Monday, April 20 at 3 p.m. Businesses must employ between three and 20 people. Economically vulnerable communities are identified by zip code. Eligible zip codes located in James City County include 23185 and 23188; 23168 is not eligible. https://www.savesmallbusiness.com/
