[ARCHIVED] Economic Development Authority Cancels February Meeting

The Economic Development Authority (EDA) has canceled their Tuesday, Feb. 18 meeting. There is no new business to discuss. The next meeting of the EDA will be on Tuesday, March 17 at 4 p.m. The Economic Development Authority meets monthly and the calendar is available online.

The EDA is a seven-member volunteer board whose members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve staggered four-year terms. The Authority’s function is to pursue and comply with the goals and objectives set forth in the Comprehensive Plan; to advise the Board of Supervisors through the County Administrator of any application made by an agent or representative of a prospective facility requesting the Authority to issue bonds; and to advise the governing body of James City County of the potential location of the facility.
