[ARCHIVED] Second Suspect in Nov. 22 Robberies Arrested

Mark Lshaun Perry-Mitchell - arrested

UPDATE: Mark Lshaun Perry-Mitchell was arrested on Dec. 18 by Hampton Police.

On Nov. 22 at 8:11 pm, an unknown male armed with a handgun entered the Citgo at 5443 Richmond Road and pointed a gun at the clerk and a customer. The suspect demanded money from the clerk and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of currency.

Less than an hour later, the same male entered the 7-Eleven at 4840 Longhill Road and pointed a gun at the clerk and hit him on the head with the gun. The suspect demanded money from the clerk and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of currency.

A 17-year-old Hampton male has been charged in connection with both incidents. He has been charged with robbery (4 counts), use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (2 counts), wearing a mask in public (2 counts), grand larceny, possession of a firearm by a juvenile and malicious wounding. He is currently being held in Newport News Juvenile Detention Center on separate charges.

Warrants are still outstanding for Mark Lshaun Perry-Mitchell associated with these incidents. These charges are for use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, robbery (2 counts) and conspiracy to commit robbery (2 counts). Additional warrants for Perry-Mitchell are also outstanding for robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery associated with a June 14 robbery from a person that occurred in the 4900 block of Grand Strand Drive.
