[ARCHIVED] Good Time Dancers Give Back

Giving Tuesday

The Good Time Dancers, a local dance group, marked "Giving Tuesday" with a donation to the Heritage Humane Society. The dancers collected pet supplies and cash totaling $1,425 to support the shelter’s daily and urgent needs. The donation will be matched by the Society, bringing the total donation to more than $2,850. Giving Tuesday is an international day devoted to helping others and giving back to the community following the intense shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The Good Time Dancers are members of "The Lounge," a program held at the James City County Recreation Center. The group meets twice weekly for fun and social interaction as well as to support community charity events. For more information on "The Lounge" daily activities, special events and trips for ages 55+, please call Amy Fiedor, Recreation Program Coordinator at 757-259-4178.
