The Economic Development Authority (EDA) Real Estate Committee has canceled their Thursday, Dec. 5 meeting. There is no new business. The EDA Real Estate Committee will decide on their 2020 calendar at the EDA’s next regularly scheduled meeting. The Real Estate Committee is a three-member subcommittee of the EDA.
At its November meeting, the EDA voted to change the time of its Dec. 17 meeting. The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. instead of 4 p.m.
The EDA is a seven-member volunteer board whose members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve staggered four-year terms. The Authority’s function is to pursue and comply with the goals and objectives set forth in the Comprehensive Plan; to advise the Board of Supervisors through the County Administrator of any application made by an agent or representative of a prospective facility requesting the Authority to issue bonds; and to advise the governing body of James City County of the potential location of the facility.
