Summit on the future Engage logo

James City County invites community members to participate in the Summit on the Future on Monday, Nov. 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This Summit is the first opportunity during the Engage 2045 Comprehensive Plan update process for community members to shape the County’s future by sharing their vision and priorities for James City County. The Summit will include a presentation on County conditions and trends, live polling, station activities, light refreshments and door prizes. All ages are welcome.

The Summit presentation and polling will be broadcast from a main location at the County Government Center Board Room in Building F at 101 Mounts Bay Road. Attend there, or join the Summit at locations in each district and hosted by the respective Board of Supervisor member: James River Elementary School (Roberts District), Berkeley Middle School (Jamestown District), Jamestown High School (Berkeley District), Lois S. Hornsby Middle School (Powhatan District) or Toano Middle School (Stonehouse District). Attendees are encouraged to bring their smart phones or Wi-Fi enabled devices to join the live polling. Paper questionnaires will also be available.

Community members who can’t attend in person can still participate by tuning in on Cox Cable channel 48 or 1048 at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 to watch the broadcast and vote in live polling. An online questionnaire will be available after the Summit at jamescitycountyva.gov/engage2045.
