The Economic Development Authority (EDA) of James City County is pleased to announce that the Board of Supervisors appointed a new director, Lynn Meredith, to the EDA. Meredith will serve a four-year term.

Meredith is the general manager of the Williamsburg Premium Outlets. Meredith has had an extensive career in real estate marketing and operations. She is a resident of James City County.

The EDA bids farewell to Christopher Odle, an executive vice president with Armada Hoffler. Odle had served on the EDA since July 2015. Odle previously served as vice chair of the EDA and as the chair of the Real Estate Committee. James City County sincerely thanks Odle for his experience, knowledge and service to the EDA.

The EDA is a seven-member volunteer board whose members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve staggered four-year terms. The Authority’s function is to pursue and comply with the goals and objectives set forth in the Comprehensive Plan; to advise the Board of Supervisors through the County Administrator of any application made by an agent or representative of a prospective facility requesting the Authority to issue bonds; and to advise the governing body of James City County of the potential location of the facility.
