Jr. Community Center (AFCC) is now open daily, with the addition of new weekend hours! The
Center is open Saturdays and Sundays, 1 to 6 p.m. Weekday hours remain the
same - Monday through Thursday, 4 to 9 p.m. and Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. The Center is located at 8901 Pocahontas Trail, adjacent to the James River
Elementary School.
The AFCC is one of two of James City County's multipurpose indoor recreation facilities. The James City County Recreation Center is located at 5301 Longhill Road. The AFCC features a gym, fitness equipment and a multipurpose room with game tables and two large-screen TVs. It also has meeting space, outdoor basketball courts, a soccer field and onsite registration for Parks & Recreation programs and activities.
Community Center programs and services include teen tournaments, Zumba® fitness classes and monthly free movie nights. The AFCC also accepts Silver Sneakers® memberships.
