Smart Money Management Workshop

June 13, 6-8 p.m. Human Services Center (5249 Olde Towne Road, Williamsburg)

Learn how to examine your finances and identify the best ways to spend, save, and plan for your future. It will help you better understand your spending habits, the basics of credit, setting goals, and avoiding financial traps. At the end of this class you will leave equipped to manage your finances and more knowledgeable about finding the financial resources that you need.

This class is appropriate for adults and high-school students.

Home Maintenance Workshop

June 20, 6-8 p.m. Human Services Center (5249 Olde Towne Road, Williamsburg)

Staff from James City County’s Social Services Housing Unit will discuss basic home maintenance tasks that generally can be performed by homeowners, tasks better left to contractors, and how to tell the difference. You will also get a better understanding of how to choose the right contractor, how to budget for future home maintenance and repairs, and energy cost saving tips to help with saving for future repair costs. Whether you are a current or future homeowner, you will benefit from this workshop.
