The Economic Development Authority (EDA) of James City County is pleased to announce that the Board of Supervisors appointed two new directors to the EDA. The new directors are Jeffrey (Jeff) Scott and Vincent (Vince) Campana, III. Scott will serve the remaining three months of a prior appointment followed by a four-year term. Campana will serve the remaining 15 months of an open appointment.
Scott is the senior general manager of Anheuser-Busch’s Williamsburg brewery. Campana is an associate broker with Campana Waltz Commercial Real Estate, LLC. Scott and Campana live in James City County.
The EDA bids farewell to Robin Carson, who retired from Kingsmill Resort in 2012. Carson had served on the EDA since Nov. 2011. Carson previously served as vice chair of the EDA and led the Chefs GO workforce development initiative. James City County sincerely thanks Carson for her experience, knowledge and service to the EDA.
The EDA is a seven-member volunteer board whose members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve staggered four-year terms. The Authority’s function is to pursue and comply with the goals and objectives set forth in the Comprehensive Plan; to advise the Board of Supervisors through the County Administrator of any application made by an agent or representative of a prospective facility requesting the Authority to issue bonds; and to advise the governing body of James City County of the potential location of the facility.
