James City County is pleased to announce that Alewerks Brewing Company (Alewerks) will have its first exclusive satellite taproom beer releases during American Craft Beer Week on Monday, May 13 and Friday, May 16. Monday’s beer release will be the Bombshell Umlaut Pilsner, which is the inaugural beer brewed on the new 108.5 gallon brewing system and three and a half barrel system that was installed in the satellite taproom, which Alewerks is calling the L.A.B. short for Little Auxiliary Brewery. Friday’s beer release will be an old favorite, Twenty Knots Belgian-Style Tripel Ale, which is one of Alewerks most requested discontinued recipes.
Alewerks Managing Director and longtime Brewmaster Geoff Logan stated, “We are pleased to brew smaller, creative batches in the L.A.B. and are excited to bring back a customer favorite during American Craft Beer Week.”
Alewerks’s satellite taproom opened in Sept. 2017 in 3,000 square feet located at 5711 Richmond Road in BO36 next to Columbia Sportswear Company at the Williamsburg Premium Outlets. The satellite taproom has 10-14 beers on tap including new satellite taproom exclusive releases.
