James City County is pleased to announce that Billsburg Brewery (Billsburg) unveiled its new logo on Friday. As part of a rebranding effort for the brewery, the new logo utilizes the negative space within the letter B of the Billsburg name to represent the three ships that came over to Jamestown in 1607. The team at Billsburg has partnered with STUDIO WY, a boutique ad agency who specializes in brand identity. In addition to the logo, Billsburg has also released its new tagline - Making Beer History in James City County.
“We opened Billsburg in October 2017 with the support of our family, friends, and our community. America’s brewery story began right here in the heart of Jamestown, so 400 years later we are bringing that back to Jamestown. We are excited that our logo has evolved and we wanted to make sure our brand was relevant and tied into the rich history that is a part of our community." said Dave Baum, owner of Billsburg. "We love our supportive beer community that includes locals and tourists.”
Billsburg also received the Early Stage Business Award from the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance on Wednesday, May 1. The award is given to a small business that has been open for less than three years.
Billsburg has a variety of upcoming events including the Williamsburg Taco Fest to support the Alzheimer’s Association on Sunday, May 5, Cycling without Age Benefit on Monday, May 6 and will host Tartans and Tie Dyes to benefit Relay for Life on Saturday, May 18.
Billsburg has new merchandise for sale in the taproom featuring the new Billsburg logo.
Billsburg is the first craft brewery in the County. Billsburg is a destination brewery and venue surrounded in history and located next to Jamestown Settlement, Jamestown Island, Jamestown Beach Event Park, just off the Colonial Parkway, the Capital Trail and the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry.
