James City County Social Services, in coordination with the Greater Virginia Peninsula Housing Consortium, will host Landlord Fest April 25, 5:30-7 p.m. at the James City County Recreation Center at 5301 Longhill Road. Landlord Fest is a community resource fair held for the purpose of connecting rental property owners to valuable resources and opportunities to provide housing to our most vulnerable citizens. The event will feature speakers and exhibitors from local agencies that serve housing needs on the Peninsula. Rental property owners will be able to network with these agencies and learn ways in which various programs can benefit them and their tenants.
Topics discussed will include:
- Providing housing opportunities to veterans
- Partnering with housing resource providers
- How fair housing affects you
- Networking with other landlords
- Funding sources for eviction prevention
