[ARCHIVED] Go-Karts Plus Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Go-Karts Plus

Go-Karts Plus will open for its 2019 season on Friday, March 22 at 5 p.m. This is the 30th anniversary of Go-Karts Plus being in operation in James City County. Go-Karts Plus is located at 6910 Richmond Road on eight acres and is much more than just go-karts.

Go-Karts Plus is the area’s premier family entertainment center and features go-karts including four tracks, 19 holes of mini golf, family-friendly and thrill rides and a video arcade with redemption prizes.

“Go-Karts Plus is excited to be celebrating 30 years of family fun in the Greater Williamsburg area. We opened our doors in 1989 on the original site of the Great American Waterslide on Richmond Road as a four-acre family entertainment center and doubled our footprint within a few years. We have continued to update and expand over the years and we look forward to adding more attractions in the near future,” said Jeff Miller, co-owner of Go-Karts Plus.

Go-Karts Plus offers All-You-Can-Ride wristbands as well as pay as you go ticketing. They will be updating to ticket kiosks that will work for both rides and arcade games later this spring. Gold Rush mini golf, gemstone panning and the snack bar are priced separately. Height requirements apply to all rides. Go-Karts Plus offers a variety of specials each day of the week. Picnic pavilions are available for groups and birthday parties when reserved in advance. Admission and parking are free.

Go-Karts Plus is owned and operated by Miller and his father, Bob, who has always been the visionary of the business. Go-Karts Plus employs seven people full-time and has an additional 50 seasonal employees during their operating season. They are still hiring for the 2019 season. Job applications are available online.
