James City County is pleased to announce that The Prescription Shoppe is now open at 5223 Monticello Avenue, Suite C in the Courthouse Commons Shopping Center. The Prescription Shoppe is a locally owned and independently operated full-service pharmacy that specializes in patient care.

The Prescription Shoppe is owned by Dr. Henry Ranger. Dr. Ranger worked for major retail pharmacy companies for 10 years before opening The Prescription Shoppe.

“When you come to The Prescription Shoppe, you can expect to be treated like family because you are. As our patient, you are our main concern and your overall health and wellness is our number one priority,” said Dr. Ranger. “We are excited to serve the Greater Williamsburg community.”

The Prescription Shoppe’s services include online refills, free local delivery, vaccinations, vitamins/supplements and individual pill packaging of all prescribed medications for daily use. Additionally, The Prescription Shoppe offers rapid strep and flu testing with appropriate antibiotic therapy pending results. The Prescription Shoppe also offers healthcare seminars that highlight a variety of health conditions and the medications used to treat them. Private consultations are available by appointment.

The Prescription Shoppe’s hours of operations are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Prescription Shoppe is closed on Sundays.
