Just before noon on Friday, April 3, James City County Police responded to the Station at Norge Apartments located in the 7700 block of Croaker Road in reference to an armed robbery. A 25-year-old male victim reported that two black males came to his apartment and knocked on the door. Upon him opening the door, the two males who were both armed with handguns, entered the apartment, pointed the guns at him and demanded money. They took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim and then forced him into a rear bedroom while they stole an Xbox game console, a Sony Playstation, various games for both and assorted DVD movies. The victim heard one of the suspects refer to himself as “RJ” before they left the area in a small red car. The victim contacted the police and his roommate who believed that he knew the suspects and that “RJ” lived on Ivy Hill Road.
JCCPD located the suspect vehicle and the two suspects a short time later in the 200 block of Ivy Hill Road. The two suspects were identified as Ronnie Terrell Berkley, Jr., 20 of JCC and Qua’juan Antonio Graves, 19 of JCC. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and charged with robbery, home invasion, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and brandishing a firearm. They are both being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail without bond. The victim was not injured during the incident.
