Billsburg Brewery is proud to announce that it will brew Resilience Butte County Proud IPA (Resilience IPA), a beer that Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (Sierra Nevada) is brewing to raise funds for the Camp Fire relief efforts. In a letter, Sierra Nevada’s founder, Ken Grossman, asked every brewer in America to brew Resilience IPA and donate 100% of its sales to the Sierra Nevada Camp Fire Relief Fund. The Camp Fire Relief Fund supports recovery and rebuilding from the Camp Fire that occurred in Butte County, CA earlier this year.
Billsburg Brewery is the only Greater Williamsburg brewery that will brew Resilience IPA and one of more than 30 Virginia breweries, who will participate in the charitable initiative. A complete map of breweries participating is available online.
“Everyone knows that Billsburg Brewery loves to be involved with the community and that their staff loves an IPA, so when we saw this opportunity, we knew immediately we had to participate,” said David Baum, owner of Billsburg Brewery. “I am thrilled that Billsburg can offer our patrons and visitors the opportunity to enjoy a beer in our taproom for a good cause, especially a cause that touches so many people. We see how Sierra Nevada quickly jumped in to help drive this project, and we recognize that is the type of company we strive to be every day.”
Billsburg Brewery anticipates having the beer on tap in mid-to-late December. Follow their Facebook page for updates.
Sierra Nevada is located in Chico, CA and opened in 1980. Its annual production is 1.25 million barrels of beer. For more information about Sierra Nevada, visit their website or Facebook page.
