Whether you’re a retiree or a parent whose children are back in school, this camp is designed for you! James City County Parks & Recreation is offering a fun-filled “Be a Kid Again” camp for ages 18+, Monday-Thursday, Oct. 8-11, 9 a.m. to noon at the James City County Marina. Participants have a chance to try out hiking, biking and kayaking in our County parks. On day one, we’ll take an easy hike in historic Freedom Park. Days two and three we’ll kayak on Powhatan Creek and bike along the Virginia Capitol Trail. The last day features a boat ride on the Jamestown Discovery Boat Tour. The camp fee is $65/person for James City County and Williamsburg residents, and $70 for nonresidents. The fee includes bike, kayak and boat rental fees. Space is limited. Participants can register online or at any Parks & Recreation payment location site. The James City County Marina is located at 2054 Jamestown Road.
