James City County is pleased to announce that Advanced Vision Institute (AVI) had a groundbreaking ceremony for the creation of their new Ambulatory Surgery Center located at 5215 Monticello Ave. AVI provides dedicated eye care, experienced doctors, and extensive eye care services including vision correction procedures and cataract surgery. They offer state-of-the-art vision technology and a professional staff with years of experience. The expansion, a 5,500 square foot Advanced Vision Surgery Center (AVSC), will include an operating room, two laser suites and an ambulatory surgery center specifically dedicated to eye surgery.

The new facility will improve quality and efficiency through specifically dedicated staff, state-of-the-art equipment, scheduling flexibility and an overall improved patient experience.

The inclusion of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) will allow AVSC to charge lower prices for services, thus improving financial access for all patients. For more information regarding pricing, please call AVI at 757-229-4000.

AVI and AVSC includes Glenn Campbell, MD, a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who has been practicing for more than 25 years and his associate, Crystan Schneider, MD who is also board certified.
