[ARCHIVED] Bryan Hill Accepts Position of County Executive of Fairfax, Virginia

James City County Administrator Bryan Hill has shared with the Board of Supervisors that he has accepted the position of County Executive of Fairfax, Virginia starting Jan. 2, 2018. Hill has been the County Administrator since September 2014.

Kevin Onizuk, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors said, "Bryan Hill has been an asset to James City County and we are very proud of our accomplishments over the last three years. I am confident Bryan's hard-charging leadership style, his finance and budget expertise and his forward thinking mindset will benefit the County of Fairfax for many years to come. Our community will certainly miss his teamwork, outstanding personal integrity and strong character. And I know I speak for many who say we will also miss him as a neighbor and friend. Fairfax will be lucky to have him, as we were, and we all wish Bryan great success for years to come in his new position.”

Onizuk continued, “With a solid leadership team in place, James City County will continue to move forward in fulfilling our current objectives and achieving our goals as outlined in the Strategic Plan. The Board of Supervisors, the executive leadership and everyone on the James City County team are committed to the long-term success of our community. We will all work diligently through the transition, continue to serve our citizens and focus on our vision of excellence for the County."

The Board has added a closed session item to the Nov. 28, 2017 work session schedule to address the personnel matter.
