Master Police Officer (MPO) Robert McKenzie, Officer Aurelia Woods and MPO Jimmie Reardon were recognized by LifeNet Health for supporting their organ and tissue donation program on Nov. 7 in Richmond.

LifeNet Health is the federally-designated organ procurement organization for Virginia. Potential donor referrals come from hospitals, medical examiners, funeral homes or law enforcement authorities. According to Donate Life Virginia, more than 3,200 Virginians are awaiting organ donation. LifeNet reports that one donor can save 9 lives through organ donation and enhance more than 50 lives through tissue donation. MPO McKenzie, Officer Woods and MPO Reardon are to be commended for their support of this life-saving program.
