James City County Police have
charged three suspects in relation to the shooting death of 20-year-old Adren
Garnett, which occurred in the parking lot of the Burnt Ordinary Apartments in
Toano on Oct 23. A second victim, an 18-year old male was also injured during
the shooting, after a dispute involving several subjects.
Marques Raquan Stephens-Graves, 21 of James City County was arrested earlier this morning, Nov. 3 in James City County and is charged with second degree murder, malicious wounding, use of a firearm while committing murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and active participation in a criminal street gang.
Jordan Allen Davis, 24 of Newport News was arrested this afternoon in Newport News. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Arrest warrants have been obtained
charging Malcom Shemar Lee, 19 of James City County with second degree murder, malicious
wounding, use of a firearm while committing murder, possession of a firearm by
a convicted felon and active participation in a criminal street gang. Police
are currently looking for Lee.
Davis and Stephens-Graves are both being
held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail without bond. Media outlets should
contact the VPRJ to obtain a copy of the arrest photo.
