The James City Service Authority (JCSA) offers rebates to residential water customers for the purchase of water smart landscapes, rain sensors, rain barrels and cisterns, WaterSense high-efficiency toilets, high-efficiency washing machines, on demand hot water recirculators, and high-efficiency dishwashers in order to emphasize water conservation and encourage customers to retrofit less efficient outdoor water use practices and household appliances and fixtures.
By conserving municipal water, you can save money, ensure water availability for emergencies like firefighting, reduce stormwater runoff to protect our waterways, and promote a conscientious culture of wise water use and conservation. Water conservation is also an important component of meeting future water needs.
The following changes in rebate requirements will go into effect July 1, 2015:
1. “Applicant must be a JCSA residential water customer.” changes to “Applicant and installation address must be a JCSA residential water customer.”
2. “…must be purchased and installed on or after January 1, 2010, to be eligible for rebate.” changes to “…rebate request must be submitted and received within 180 days of purchase and installation.
