Pedal your way through the Virginia Capital Trail with color surprises at every turn! Join us for the Capital Color
Ride on Saturday, Oct. 7, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and add a little color to your day
pedaling from Chickahominy Riverfront Park to the James City County Marina and
back stopping at the “Color Pit Stops” of your choice. Make tracks riding this
beautiful scenic fall trail as a family or at your leisure. Load up your bike,
wear your white T-shirt and get “colored” along the way at “color pit stops” (rest
stops) featuring refueling stations of water, healthy snacks and recreational
fun. Ride as much or little as you like and get marked at the PURPLE .5-mile
mark (1-mile ride), GREEN 2-mile mark (4-mile ride), BLUE 4-mile mark (8-mile
ride), RED 7-mile mark (14-mile ride) and return to Chickahominy Riverfront
Park for the GOLD finisher color!Register your bikes and get bike safety checks by the James City County Police Department. Be sure to check-out all the other biking and community vendors available onsite! Registration is $5/person if you preregister by Sept. 30 or $10/person beginning Oct. 1 and onsite. The fee includes refreshments, maps, T-shirt (while supplies last) and lunch. Children age 9 and younger are free, but must be on a tandem bike or trailer.
